www.renewcoop.net Membership and Investment Opportunity!
RenewCoop is a ‘green’ energy investment cooperative located in the Tantramar region of New Brunswick. We provide opportunities for people to invest in environmentally-friendly, innovative and sustainable energy initiatives that will benefit our region. Our profits not only reward investors – they also develop local sustainability.
A HEALTHY return on your investment…Most renewable energy projects have major capital requirements to get off the ground, so the average small investor has little opportunity to participate. And it can be difficult for people who want to invest in local projects that can bring social, economic and health benefits directly to their community, to find such opportunities.
The time is right now…RenewCoop has been formed to provide small, medium and large investors the opportunity to get involved in the development and ownership of renewable energy projects that directly benefit our region. The timing is great, because the Government of New Brunswick, under the province's Renewable Portfolio Standard, wants renewable sources to produce 33 per cent of the energy consumed by New Brunswickers by the year 2016. RenewCoop will be looking at ways to invest in renewable production, with potential projects in Wind Energy Production, Tidal Power Generation, Biodiesel, Hydrogen, Energy Efficiency and Conservation.
RenewCoop is a jointly-owned and democratically-controlled enterprise…
Your $25 Membership Fee in RenewCoop will be used for the administration of the cooperative and provides you with one vote on the direction and the investments made by RenewCoop at the Annual General Meeting. You will also receive ongoing communication materials. In addition, you are invited to purchase Investment Shares, at a cost of $10 per share, with a minimum purchase of 5 shares. Income generated from the pooled RenewCoop Investment shares will be distributed in three areas:
A portion will be applied to administrative costs for RenewCoopA portion of RenewCoop profits will return to you as investment incomeA portion of the profits will also be contributed to local, non-profit organizations that enhance renewable energy development. For more information, or to become a member, please contact the address above.

Uncertainty is forcing our solar businesses into difficult decisions -- not if, but when to cut and, how deep to cut. The coming loss of talented people and companies should be viewed as a loss of our country's intellectual property -- and a national tragedy.
